Katie is a board member, advocate, and one of Jace’s dear friends whose heart and purpose continue to make a lasting impact.
In 2020, Katie shared with Jace that she had been inspired to change her path - setting out to pursue a career in cancer research. And just like everything she does, she followed through.
From her work as a biomedical scientist in both clinical and R&D settings to pre-cancer detection research & development, and now working on the front lines in medical sales, Katie is living out that mission every single day.
Her journey reflects not only her intelligence and drive, but her deep compassion for patients and families facing cancer.
At the Brainstorm Summit, she shows up wholeheartedly - creating meaningful experiences for families, spending time with patients and siblings, and helping ensure that every family feels seen, supported, and informed. Her presence brings comfort, connection, and hope to so many navigating the unimaginable.

May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month, and at Tough2gether, we understand the importance of sharing stories. Katie is on the committee tasked with bringing awareness to the patient family experience by engaging with families and working to create the content necessary to effectively highlight the lesser known and unknown challenges of pediatric brain cancer.
