DDRFA (DIPG/DMG Research Funding Alliance)

Tough2gether is a founding and active member of the DIPG/DMG Research Funding Alliance (DDRFA) - a coalition of childhood cancer foundations united to accelerate the pace of discovery for diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) and diffuse midline glioma (DMG).

Through DDRFA, Tough2gether works to:

• Coordinate and prioritize funding for the most promising DIPG/DMG research.
• Encourage data sharing and collaboration across institutions, researchers, and funders.
• Reduce duplication in the research pipeline so that every donated dollar pushes science forward efficiently.
• Champion patient-centric research, ensuring that families’ needs and lived experiences directly inform investment and clinical direction.

By pooling resources, aligning strategy, and breaking down silos between organizations, DDRFA allows Tough2gether to amplify its impact, helping ensure that discoveries move from lab to patient faster.

LiveBrave2gether

LiveBrave2gether is Tough2gether’s community-centered initiative honoring the legacy of DIPG/DMG warriors by celebrating courage, connection, and collective action. Inspired by the spirit of Jace Ward, LiveBrave2gether brings families, advocates, and supporters together through events and storytelling that create visibility and unity in the DIPG/DMG community.

Through LiveBrave2gether, Tough2gether focuses on:

• Community events that raise awareness and bring families together in remembrance, celebration, and hope.
• Storytelling and warrior profiles that honor children and young adults impacted by brain cancer.
• Advocacy gatherings and awareness days that elevate the voices of families and highlight the urgent need for progress.
• Supportive spaces (both virtual and in-person) where families can connect, heal, and feel seen.
